Everyone has an opinion on what you should or shouldn’t eat, I always say eat what works best for you. We all have different caloric needs, different builds, metabolism, and health issues, so find what works best for you and stick to it.
One of the most common questions I get is what I eat in a day. not everyday is the same but I do have some staple recipes I include daily. I don’t really have measurements because i do not count macros or calories, I eat intuitively. (intuitive eating help’s you heal your relationship with food, it also can help improve your mental and physical health.)
Disclaimer: I am not a dietitian or nutritionist I am just sharing what I eat and what works for my body.

I wake up early around 5:00am and the 1st thing I do is drink a glass of lemon water . Drinking warm lemon water first thing in the morning on an empty stomach is thought to improve digestion, boost metabolism and helps in maintaining the Ph balance of the body. Lemon water can be actually beneficial for overall health by cleansing internal waste and removing toxins from the system.

About 30 minutes later I will have my plan ole coffee with almond milk while I am getting ready for work, I have to take a pill for my thyroid which I have to take on an empty stomach and wait 1hour before I eat.
Breakfast is usually on the go so I try to stick with something I can take with me like a smoothie or over night oats which are my favorite right now. I eat once i get to work around 8 am. Here are some of my go to breakfast items.

I love these Orange Juice Smoothies, They are packed with immune fighting goodness and just super refreshing. I also add my Collagen Peptides in with it.
1 Large Orange
1 Frozen Banana
1 Cup Frozen Mango
1/2 Cup Almond Milk
1/4 Tsp Vanilla Extract

These Smoothie Bowls are so tasty and a great way to start your morning.
1 frozen banana
1 cup mixed berries
1 cup almond milk
1/4 cup Greek vanilla yogurt ( I use fat free)
2 tsp raw organic honey (any honey will do)
Top with granola, Chi seeds, dark chocolate or berries.

I usually eat lunch around 12:30/1:00 depending om when I get hungry some days I can’t make it that long. I like to have a light lunch, If I eat a heavy lunch then i tend to get sleepy.

I love these Sunflower salad packs, you can get them from Ingles with the dressing and everything then just add what ever topping you like. I add boiled eggs and Chicken Brest strips to make it filling.

Talk about tasty this salad is made with mixed greens, ground turkey, dill pickles, tomato’s and topped with fat free thousand island dressing , dairy free mozzarella cheese and poppy seeds.

If you are not a fan of salads these egg in the baskets paired with fresh fruit and veggies topped with cream cheese and everything but the bagel seasoning are to die for.

Burrito Bowls are also a great choice, using a carb smart tortilla, filled with turkey burger, black beans, chili beans and mixed greens, its hearty and healthy.
next is my middy snack, i work long hours so I need a snack to hold me over plus I go to the gym as soon as I get off work so it also works as a pre-workout snack.

I get off work at 6 then head straight to the gym, Currently trying to make myself get up and go before work but that is easier said then done, It seems like going in the evening helps me to sleep better.
By the time I get home its 7:30 so I have a protein shake and a handful of gummies while dinner is cooking. Having this combo is supposed to rapidly replenish the glycogen you exerted during your workout.

okay, now on the favorite meal of the day and that is dinner, I am a hug foodie and not one to have boring meals, so I like to keep it fancy.
